Hallelujah

Mom lost someone very special this past Friday and has been a little distracted with other family members and acting crazier than usual. I can overlook that because I know her heart is breaking. But this....this....I cannot overlook. You see Lola and I were suppose to go get our talons nails clipped at the groomer's Friday and when Mom had to canceled our appointment because of the tragedy we thought we had bought ourselves some more time. But then Saturday morning she takes Lola and leaves for a bit.  Ahhh...Sweet Jesus!!! Lola is going to be gone for a while!  Then she comes back singing a song she loves and sings a lot so she must have had a happy time wherever her and Lola went.....

Mom I love to listen to you sing....

Whoa...wait a damn minute...those aren't the correct lyrics...

Does Jeff Buckley know she has done this to his song? I'm not liking the sounds of this...

What is she up too?

(Sung to the tune of Hallelujah by Jeff Buckley)

Well I heard there was a secret place
that Lola went and it pleased the Mom
But you don't really care for nail clipping, do you?
Well it goes like this:
The fourth, the fifth,
The minor fall and the major lift
The baffled groomer composing Hallelujah

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah...

I find it in my best interest to burrow further back into my man cave in the hopes that she won't find me...

Your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her standing under the roof
Her beauty and the sunlight overthrew you
She tied you in her groomer's jail
She broke your throne and she clipped your nails
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah...

Baby I've been here before
I've seen this room and I've walked this floor (you know)
I used to live alone before I knew you
And I've seen you hide in the crate before,
and your talons I just couldn't ignore
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah...

There was a time when you let me know
What's really going on below
But this time you didn't show that to me, did you?
But remember when I moved in you
And the holy groomer was moving too
And every breath we drew was Hallelujah

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah...

 Maybe there's a God above,
all I've ever learned from love
Was how to catch a chihuahua who outrun you
And it's not a cry that you hear at night
It's not somebody who's seen the light
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah...
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah...
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah
Hallelujah, hallelujah

Dear God, I think this time the woman has turned the corner and no one can save her. Or me.

*Note from Mom* A car accident claimed the life of someone in my immediate family late Thursday night, I have not been able to read or comment on all your blogs but I hope to catch up today. If I don't comment on each blog please understand.

  5. I am so very sorry for the loss in your family...take care and hold close with your family.

The song with the lyric change...priceless! I need to memorize those lyrics as I try to clip Stewie's nails...he is such a wimp when it comes to nail clipping...don't even let me get this started with Tucker who as a puppy doesn't understand the point of nail clipping.

Tucker you are so cute...and you have an awesome man cave to burrow in.
